Nature has fascinated both the young and the old alike. Nature
is intriguing and has lots to offer to all of us and in the process enriches
our learning manifolds. The four walls can no longer hold the children in their
confines. With the well- planned curriculum woven around real life experiences,
a teacher can utilize multifarious methods to make learning more appealing and
effective. A trip around the school, visits to places of importance in the
neighbourhood and a walk to the main library of the Vidyalaya can help students
learn better and also inculcate values of sharing and caring and instill
positive civic sense in them. The annual excursion programme to places of
historical importance, zoo, museum, planetarium, industrial plants, craft
centres and special schools have proved to be of great help in developing
better understanding of real life incidents and qualities of independence and
leadership in students.
